Online Therapy

Online Therapy

Clarity of Mind Counseling Center provides therapy sessions online and by phone to individuals that live in the state of New Hampshire or Texas. We utilize a secure and confidential HIPAA compliant platform to have online therapy sessions.

Is Online Therapy (Telehealth) as good as in person therapy?

According to current studies and the American Psychological Association, online therapy is equally as effective as in person therapy. Whether you decide to do online therapy or see someone in-person, we recommend making sure the therapist you are working with is a good fit for you. We suggest finding someone that has experience and specializes in your needs and that you feel comfortable talking with.

With online therapy, some individuals find that doing counseling from their home or secure location helps them to be more consistent with finding time to be able to schedule counseling sessions that fit their busy schedule. Often people share that they feel more comfortable being in their own space when talking about hard or uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.

Are there times when online therapy may not be a good fit for me?

Not everyone is a perfect fit for online therapy. When you call or book online for a free 15-minute consultation, Clarity of Mind Counseling Center will ask a few questions to make sure online therapy is a good fit for you. Slow internet connections, clients that are too young, not having a space that is secure and can provide confidentiality, or certain diagnoses are not always a good fit for online therapy.

How does online therapy (telehealth) work?

Through audio and video over the internet, you can meet with your therapist on-the-go from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device (iOS or Android)—it’s your choice! Online therapy (telehealth) allows us to connect anywhere with secure and convenient appointments that save you time and hassle. There’s no need to deal with traffic when you can schedule and attend your appointments directly from a laptop or mobile device.
