Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of New Hampshire, and a Registered Play Therapist. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX and will complete the program in the Summer of 2023. Elizabeth has over 15 years of experience working in the educational field in a variety of roles. She was an early childhood educator, certified school counselor, and a daycare owner. She is familiar with ARD’s, Individualized Education Plans, and services that benefit school age children.
Since 2015, Elizabeth has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Park University teaching Psychology and Sociology courses. As a therapist, she has worked with individuals of all ages, as well as couples, and families. Elizabeth enjoys working with clients that need support with autism, ADHD, anxiety, grief, trauma, crisis interventions, independent living skills, OCD, bipolar, major life transitions, and eating disorders. She is certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist that has worked with individuals of all ages diagnosed with Autism as well as supporting the family unit. She holds additional certifications as a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy Professional, ADHD clinical services provider, and a Clinical Trauma Professional.
To support clients, she utilizes an Integrative Theoretical Approach using skills and techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Digital Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, Internal Family Systems, and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP).
